Hallo and welcome. Just remember that none of us here on the forum are experts. We are all learning all the time on this facinating and addictive hobby. Should anybody claim to be in expert in finch breeding than they are in denial. And for Dano_68. When you talk about very heavy winters you probably make some forum members double up with laughter. Remember that we have European and Canadian forum members here. lol, cheers, case

I see you are in Mt. Barker! I used to live there for a few years - was working in Woodside (no prize for guessing what I did for a living lol). But I also had a band and played in the Grey Inn (Mt Barker) lots and lots. Also played at the German Arms in Handorf etc. this was back in the early '90's
So I am very familiar with your challenging climatic conditions there so you have done really well breeding all those finches! For those interested Mt Barker is in the Adelaide Hills. It can get below 0 in winter with a very heavy frost (1cm of ice on your windscreen every morning in winter!) to over 40 degrees in summer - a very dry heat - bad for allergies etc. But mostly, it likes to rain a lot lol
Welcome and hope to see you around a bit more

so did a long tail, he thought it was great with spring under way and all, and zoomed out . the other one a few days ago found a gap in a fly screen in the loo, all fixed now.
but, they have lived around the house for three years without a hitch.
its the risks you take once they charm you with neatly pooping in two spots on newspaper at the end of the dining table, and zooming around building nests everywhere. very interactive little charmers really. hence the intro title, finch madness, i didn't say it lightly, i have truly lost my mind with finches darting around the light fittings and checking out what im typing on the computer. thanks for the hello, hope to see you around as well. sally.
