Myzomela. I know that it does not look too rosy on the East side of Austrralia but plenty of good seed is being grown in the West. Agreed, you might have to pay a little more with the transport costs etc but I would rather pay a little more than having "dead" seed to feed to my birds, as is the case here in NZ with many varieties and certainly with all of the imported seeds.
If a forum member thinks he or she is going right by the birds that's fine too. There is a saying in Psychology that states: If you think it is right, it is right.
I would add that if it works for you, don't change it. Nutrition makes for a very interesting debate though. Cheers, Case
