But I still feel this is the best country in the world and wouldn't live anywhere else- a totally biased opinion of course!!

However, the lure of keeping tanagers, toucans, more whydahs etc would be very tempting..............

Yes it has been a horrific year for a lot of people , where we feel lucky is the way fellow aussies have rallied to help the victims out both financially and physically .
Of course it will take a long time to recover and some may never get over it but if you asked them if they want to live somewhere else and they will tell you NO.

Why would you want to live anywhere else ...?

I am fortunate or unfortate(depending on my mood) to have travelled quite frequently out of our country
and there is nothing like being HOME

I have never left Australia, but I'm sure he's right
