Thanks for the response Myzo. Its very possible that it has been going on for 3+ weeks. I have them in a double cabinet with lots of shelter and try to give them a wide birth when i'm around them due to their flighty nature.

At this point in time, what would be the be the first course of action?
Myzomela wrote: Some of these eventually burst through. You can then flush these with saline or dilute betadine but they often need to be scraped out as well as flushed and placed on antibiotics to clear the problem
Do you mean to flush them if it bursts through? Is there any point in applying saline or betadine to it if it hasn't burst through?

Is there anything else i can do to help...?

In the medicine cabinet atm if have...
chlorohexidine 0.5% in 70% alc
baytril 25 oral dated 11/7/10 previously recommended at 2 drops for a 5g budgie every 12 hours
meloxicam oral cat .5mg/ml per 3.00? dated 16/11/10 previously recommended at 1 drop for a 50g budgie for 5 to 7 days
and enrofloxacin 25mg/ml 3.00?dated 19/1/10 previously recommended at x2 daily .03ml for a 55g budgie for 10 days

If it is unlikely to resolve itself, ill take it down to Mark Simpson at Sugarloaf.

Both baytril and enrofloxacin are the same drug.
I would be surprised if any antibiotic on its own would help- the problem is getting the antibiotic to penetrate the pus and get into the sinuses.
If it's getting bigger I'd take the bird to Mark Simpson and follow his advice.
