I haven't checked out the forum for a while, but this is interesting.

The young that we have nicknamed spot, also has the same light feathers on the wings.

Is your young related to the the YH cock you lent me, who through out my spotted young?

The one with the lighter flights that hatched this year is from your YH WC SFYB that I have here.
The parents last years baby came from are totally unrelated to the bird you, Im leaning towards these being something SFYB's sometimes have and moult out, but I will keep an eye on it.
