Might be an idea to keep any new birds well away from the ones you have now until you can sort out why they passed away . Just a tip . :D

Hi Amalan,

I don't think you will find Quickgel at petstores- it's something you usually have to get directly from Dr Marshall.
However, you should be able to find Spark- the equivalent product from Vetafarm- at most decent bird stores.

Anti biotic powders used without correct diagnoses can be a bit dodgy . If you do feel the need to use them then you need to follow up with a probiotic especially for birds .

Are these new birds or have you had them for a while?
If they are new birds sometimes when the birds are move they stressand this can bring on Coccidiosis.I would treat with spark first, then for Coccidiosis with Baycox)
For the winter warmers I mix 50% budgie seed in with the finch mix ,put wheatgerm and codliver oil in with their seed.I also feed a little bit of hulled oats to the finches just to put a bit of fat on them through winter

some are new..I do have a mix. After the advice on here they are being fed half finch/cannary with some cod oil and also some black poppy seed as the store said it was good in small doses. They also get a dish a day of BB electrolite mix and some ornithon and lots of fresh guinea grass
