All disposable syringes up to 20 mls will fit onto any of the crop needles as they all have the same sized ends.
When using crop needles, make sure that the ball at the end is smooth. Once its starts to become rough it is time to buy a new one as the roughened end can cause trauma to the lining of the oesophagus and crop.

I have noticed that crop needles are also marketed as "medication needles" this 18 gauge can be used to feed as well?

A 1ml syringe is the largest you would want for a finch. As from of the top of my head (and dont hold me to it) As i recall a empty adult finch has a .5ml capacity. And anything you would administer into a crop would be most likely less then .1 of a ml and even less. And the tip to buy is luer tip for a syringe.
