Gouldians, when is pure really pure? If it doesnt throw mutations I would call it pure...but I think that is impossible as per 3 types of faces in wild...and as they get less in the wild ...start breeding brother to mother..cousin to cousin...mutations will come..same as aviary culturalists have done over the years it will eventually happen...So like I have said before I breed type to type...just try and keep normal looking Goulds....Think I will do same with Other finches as well

Creatures in the wild have always breed with whatever is available. And the most available are the closest. We are kidding ourselves if we think inbreeding does not happen regularly in the wild.
