Forgot to ask....

I just wormed all my birds in the cabinets,i mixed 5mls of Moxidectin in 1 litre of water mixed well.
I removed all the water in cabinets for about 20 minutes, them placed the worming mixture in.
The birds went and had a drink as soon as i put it in..

How long should i leave the worming mixture in for, before replacing with freash water???????

Thanks
Harv

What is the reasoning behind not worming on a day when it is raining?

You can't gauge how much if any wormer the birds consumed, they will drink from water droplets from the wire rather than water dish containing the wormer, this does not apply if crop worming or cabinet housed birds.

Try Melbourne Bird Veterinary Clinic- Dr Colin Walker. 03 9764 9000

Ask for the Moxidectin PLUS- also treats tapeworm.

Alternating drenches as Deb has is a good idea.

Here comes Mr Negative again . .
Some bird wormers become toxic after their 'use by' date

And sometimes labels become unreadable after a period

Memory can be unreliable, even for the younger brigade

Mark the U-B-D on the bottle in large figures, using a permanent marker and store as per indicated temperatures

A piece of fibro painted with blackboard paint and mounted on an aviary/walkway wall can be used as a back-up, and is handy for other bits of useful info
