It could have been worse, you might not have braked in time to stop before hitting the fallen tree. Not only could you have injured yourself you could have damaged the Jeep too!

I meant to tell you. Mate glad everything is alright tho and yea lucky you didnt hit the damn tree. was that heading south from your place? Glad your all ok and that your wife didnt murder you lol

Of the 300 species of termites in Aus only 90 species attack wood in use. The ones I get are basically harmless, they eat grass. They're in a drum mostly to protect them from black ants.........You may not have a problem.

What type of nest was it? ie, in the pipe of a tree, dark round ball in the tree crown or a mound ?

Get a close up of the beasties and we'll see if we cant id them for ya.

If the worst case scenerio had happend & you hit the tree, you could've, at the very least, blamed the termite in the car on the tree.

Seriously things could have been worse . We hit a tree or actually a tree fell on us earlier this year and its no fun . Whats a few hundred termites in a car compared to option B More a hindrance than anything ...glad things didn't go the other way for you

More important................You saved the ground dwellers . Cars are meant to cart termites. Over the past 3 years i used my Porsche Boxster - the Z3 and 4 and now the Mx5 turbo as my meals on wheels delivery service.
Iuse old chinese containers to pack the stock in due to limited space The car is usually parked on the side of the road and the thing that concerns me most - is a roof slasher
Good news today. Dug up the nest and filled the containers. Covered the remaining nest - then went for walkabout. Found another 10 nests. That's good for 20 weeks of feeding.
My Blue Caps arrive mid October and i've been told that they absolutely love them. How lucky they are.
