Here too. Had a couple of youngsters trying to find their way out from under the pergola the other day, had to help one into the honeysuckle after it hit the window.
Also got a brand new blackbird baby around too.

Lots of birds breeding here.

The first pic is of a young non-mutation Zeb two days after fledging. The second picture is of the other four..... the bulge in the middle!

well jelous of the lot of you , all I got either in nests or just fledges are : plumheads, painteds, masked, barbary doves , one bleeding heart pigeon and brown quial sitting on enough eggs to make an omlet.
The chats have had 2 failed nests and the pesky parrot finches have had a late start, have had a good run with the goulds 16 nearly fully colourded and 10 of them hens, (no Iam not selling any spare hens) keeping for further breeding as I know the age of these birds, not expecting miracles with the diamonds as they are young.....pete

What are your weavers doing, and what species are they?

Lots of rain again this spring in northern nsw, seems to have spurred on most to breed.
have recently fledged diamonds, blue faced parrotfinches, doublebars, ruddies, 1 late nest of gouldians about 3 weeks ago even though the parents had commenced moulting(had taken away nest boxes but i "wired" up a log so it wouldnt fall down....done a good job as now i cannot get it down either).
seems too wet for masked and painteds but they are still trying... the joys of open flights.
Yellow rumps and stars just getting going now.
good to hear of the breeding successes.
