I reckon the mods should be exempt, as they are doing enough already.

Better speed and access would be great and I would be more than happy to contribute but my original question was "Why are posts disappearing into the archives after such a short time?"

Ive posted the question to Wishes, unfortunately I cant answer as I don't know enough about the inner workings.
I'm sure once he has had time to check it out he will post.

Thanks to all those involved in the operation of AFF. I too would be more than happy to contribute. From a purely economic perspective I've personally sold heaps of birds through contacts made on AFF which would otherwise have gone to a bird dealer. So any donation could be viewed as an investment - faster more reliable site means more members, equals more sales! Although this is true, it's really the community and access to an immense store of knowledge on AFF that I value.

I would be more than happy to donate for a quicker system-how do we do it?
