It claims Belgian Waterslager is the best canary song.I don't know if they are or if they are available in our country. It's another spanner in the works for ya.

Ahh the Waterslager.....

to the bird but

to you for making me look at this site mate lol
I have been told its not available here like the other great singer called the Spanish Tumberdor (spelling)
If i had the room and time id have a male from all the canary breeds....

Crimrol you are correct in we don't have waterslangers or spanis timbrado's here. There is another great singer called the American singer which can be taught to sing and mimic other canaries but also not in Australia. We have only 12 registered breeds by my last count which was a while ago and the common Canary (also known as the mungrel by Canary club breeders). Keep on searching you will find that awesome Canary which sings to your liking hoping that its the rollers which you have purchased. As for the mule he will sing when he's happy and they are most happiest when in a large cage that gets alot of Sun.

Id definately get the rollers.
I have never seen them down my way and would love a pair.
They are my next fav canary apart from my beloved lizard canaries.
As for the mule I would just take the risk and buy it.
By itself in a nice cage and being able to hear other birds may encourage it to sing later on.
I would buy a mature male goldfinch (or a goldfinch song CD from ebay) and train the mule up to sing.
Could you upload a photo of the mule?
Good luck.
El Feroz
Mate if I buy this pair today and i breed them ill be happy to swap you a bird for a bird? or something
I remember in a past post you asked me to let you know... so fingers crossed I get them they breed and I can pass one on....
Hows that sound?
Sounds great!
Ill hopefully have some nice Lizard canaries bred up by then!
