Untreated wood shavings available from most produce merchants in clear plastic bales (one bale would keep your collection going for a couple of years) . . Store in lidded rubbish bins with added coopex powder to keep the cockroaches out
Suitable for all parrots from PC Lorikeets to Macaws . . and I dare say Bush Budgies
BUT . . remember that the only reason that parrots use logs in the bush is that there are no boxes in the bush . .
Boxes have a great many advantages over logs

Totally agree , I love the boxes my other half makes . Easy to clean , easy to see whats going on in them and two of each so swapping over is easy .
I didnt really want logs but we found some and 1 is perfect for the Stanleys and the other is a good size for the Regents , both have naturally long entrance spouts . The other 2, I dare say will just decorate an aviary or two .
We were only on a mission to get fresh branches that day . Will see how they go , they look good .

Funny enough you are not supposed to be able to buy chemicals without it.....but people buy chemicals all day long at supermarkets...and if you ask for one they give you a strange look...typical one rule for them and one rule for us grrrrr
