I too caught up with some friends at the sale, would have liked to have chatted more, but since i was selling made it hard, i ended up with only having to take 1 pair of gouldians back home with me, so i was happy, the AFF hats came in handy when a gentleman wearing one was looking at my birds, turned out to be Rip64 which was good to put a face to a forum members id.

i cant comment to much on what birds were for sale as i didn't have a chance to have a look around till towards the end of the sale,at which time most things were sold and sellers already left, plenty of escapees( feel sorry for the poor bloke who was outside the birdsale building and his carry box doors slide off and out flew a beautiful parrot ( he was spewing!!!! )

thanks also to forum member Shark for giving me two plants of Salt Bush for free.

i was amazed at the buyers lack of questions when it came to purchasing birds, i would expect: how old are these birds? are the cabinet or aviary bred etc, what food are they fed, every buyer that purchased from me, just pointed and said those ones please. ( each to their own i suppose )

I guess
(1) they are used to dealing with dealers/pet shops who answer without having a clue
(2) They want to show they are a fantastic judge of birds
