No mice or mouse bait.

The maggots were bought in and frozen. I have fed them many times before from this same frozen batch (thawed first). I did wonder if I gave them too many yesterday and perhaps this one pair gorged?? Could that kill them suddenly?! (How?)

The whole aviary was wormed and Baycoxed 13 days ago.

So far all three of the RFPFs I have lost suddenly have been Seagreens. Is that relevant in any way? I still have one nesting pair of Normals that are apparently OK.
Finchy,in my experience i would never feed frozen maggots, they break down too quick into a black mushy mess. They should be stored at around 5 degs in fresh dry bran and tumbled in the container to loosen them up before you feed them out.
Fresh live maggots should be available in the aviary at all times to prevent gorging of rotten maggots which are fed now then, and FLM's should be available to adult birds to feed their young at all times, miss a day or two and some birds will stop feeding their young.
