I can probably find a pub on my own

However, I would be interested in knowing the best people to go barramundi fishing with ??

Cheers

I think you are going to get a real shock BrettB,Kunnunura is 80kms South of Parry's creek where we are all staying and it's another 20kms North to Wyndam which is the base for the count, which means you will have to get up in the morning at 4am to have breakfast and travel the 20kms to get to Wyndam at 6am to start the count.
The closest pub is at Wyndam,a small industrial town which serves a great surfnturf which is barra and a huge steak  All this area is not good fishing but is great for birding. CU there Craig

Good to see there is a fair few coming up for the last count this year. As being a local in Kununurra I can help anybody out with any questions or info that they need to know. Will be going to a favourite water hole this Saturday to do a recon, so will let everyone know how I went. According to Anne at Parry Creek Farm there is lot's of finches around at the moment which doesn't surprise me as it was a very dry wet this year so all the birds will be hanging around what ever water is left. Be warned crew it's starting to get warm up here know. Looking forward to meeting everyone soon.

Cheers Strop.

I will be staying at Parry Creek during the count, so will see everyone there.
Certainly by Kimberley standards I don't get particularly thirsty. However, plan A was to bring a carton from Kununurra. It does sound like it is going to be hot.

On the fishing score, I have heard that the lower Ord has barramundi and some charters run from near to Kununurra where I will be staying for a few days after the count.

Getting close now and I am looking forward to it.

Hey Case,
not sure where the painteds are, think more Halls Creek way. Brett can organize fishing trip for you and anyone else that wants to go fishing.
