How about dainty little Bourkes, Scarlet Chested or Turquoise parrots, pretty quiet and not too expensive compared to many others.

Need more clues as to what you need/want.
Swifts are on Advanced licence in Victoria. I only have the basic licence and don’t want the advanced.Tiaris wrote:Swift
Thought about Violet Indian Ringnecks, however probably don’t want to go down that path at the momentRed wrote:Are Indian Ringnecks too generic?
You could always specialise in certain colours.
Had bourkes in the past. I already keep Scarlet’s and Turksmatcho wrote:How about dainty little Bourkes, Scarlet Chested or Turquoise parrots, pretty quiet and not too expensive compared to many others.

You need to give us some parameters which, you seem to have in your own mind.
What do you want from these parrots? Breeding? Mixing with others? Quietness? Size? Seedeaters?
Otherwise, we're all shooting in the dark !:)
May have some difficulty locating pairs in Vic, but they are not really what I'm looking for. Looked at the Feb ASA Journal. One guy had a hen and another had pairs but they were too far away.Denozo wrote:Ok here we go I think I may have it, ready.....
Red capped parrot,
They are around $200,
not overly loud
and relatively uncommon
