The only reason I went this way with the Zebs is I pair 3 to 5 in an aviary and when I started 8yrs ago with them I was putting the closed rings on in the nest but sometimes would full off, so I changed and waited until they fledged but then u did not know which bird came from what nest so I actually stopped writing leg ring numbers down to parents and would ring them within 2 weeks of fledging. So I still write down numbers but keep the better looking birds to breed from to get the perfect Show bird. Good Luck  So as I posted earlier Beige are a hint better and also my Cream-backs up at dads don't know whats related but this year on these we had a big improvement on getting a lot more white under the belly of the bird in which this needs.

Banding the birds in the nest and the rings coming off can only mean one thing. You banded them too early.
Zebbies are the easiest birds in the world to breed and do allow nest inspections. Just a matter of checking them daily and banding at the appropriate time.
