That's correct there is three different shades of blue and that is the purpose of this picture.
In the purple breast there is 3 basic types of blues, a normal blue, SF pastel blue and a DF pastel blue but Alvins bird has no European yellow in it but yet it is still different to a SF and a normal blue.

And whatever Alvin has it is by far the best colour in my opinion. But the BH in the 2 bird pic is pretty jolly good to.
