A canary got loose at the last show I went to. Good singer too, kept interrupting the speeches and raffle prize draw!

Every sale I go to i have seen escapees.Some they recapture.

are they orange cheeks i see?!!!!

Having travelled to most sales in Victoria and NSW you quickly get an idea of which are the good ones for selling at and those for looking and buying.
These days in my opinion the standout sale is in Orange NSW it has taken over from Gunnadah which for years was the premier sale in Aust. Having sold at Gunnadah for a number of years we have decided not to go back(9 hour drive) as the numbers seem to be falling possibly to the attitude of those running the sale
Sales easily reach for the Melbourne people seem to have higher bird prices but Ballarat,Bendigo and Shepparton sales are good. As a seller the best sale is in Albury, the last sale we sold close to 90 finches in under an hour.
Orange sale is really worth consideration,it is getting bigger each year and brings breeders in from a very large area. For those interested in finches it is excellent for both buying and selling and we make a good weekend out of it.
The Cessnock/Maitland sales are growing and have some very good breeders selling at those sales as well.
No matter where they are it is still a good days outing.

Some of the sales in NSW sound good.The centre of finch breeding in Australia would be in that state i would imagine.

only have odd birds for sale.not selling pairs at the moment.
