Dont feel uncomfortable we all lose birds and sadly we rarely know why , and as for being a breeder HA I wish

I've been lucky this past year only lost 1/2 a dozen birds all up.
2 gouldians to old age (both were 7 - 8 years), couple of emblemas & a ruddie I have no idea what happened and a diamond hen that was egg bound.

Lost the older Yellow headed Gouldian cock and my Cuban hen in the last month.
Earlier this year I lost both painteds.
Good news is someone local is advertising Painteds at $45/pair which is better than the $65/red and $85/yellow I was looking at in the local bird shop yesterday. Going to ring them in a few mins. when I get off here.
Hmmm, bird shop also has little flock of 5 double bars, hmmm, $45ea or $85/pair, hmmm
And I can't tell "he who prefers tools" that he's buying them for me for Christmas  , cause I told him that about the Gouldians I'm, getting from Fincher, and it's kind of early for my Birthday.
New tradition! New Years Presi!
