Yes Chris the trap is the wooden frame one with wire and drop feeding stations. Actually have 2 but one is damaged.
I use a net when I have a few birds to catch and the trap when I have a lot to move or am catching in an avairy that is way beyond net use size. A couple of years ago I got a couple of finches from a guy here who has an avairy that is 3-4metres high and wide and twice that long. The only way to catch anything in that is with a trap which he and I did.
Glad to hear that Kev is all but right now. Most bruising and spraining will heal its just a matter of how bad it is. Have a Gouldian cock who when I arrived home from Easter break had obviously been attacked as his wing is hanging and after inspection no sign of damage, so put in low perches and am observing with fingers crossed as his mate wants to go to nest.
