I like both actually.
I just think as a general rule Javas are to big to be housed safely with finches. they really ARE sparrows, which is represented in their size.
I like goldfinches. They just don't feature high at all on my want - to - keep list.

javas are a pain in the ass and they breed like mad but there still beautiful. Not on my list tho to big.
