The aviary is a very good size for a mixed collection plus some Weavers. In my opinion I would stay away from the Madagascar Weaver just incase the male dislikes any other bird with red on it. Napoleons are a lovely non intrusive Weaver but rather expensive at around $2000/$2500 pair.
Orange Bishops are far too rare to start off into keeping Weavers,I don't think people realise how rare they are(no offense ment).
Pintails can be a real handfull,a great challenge BUT.
Then you come to the Grenadier,I guess I could have gone direct to this specie,They are by far the best valued Weaver we have.
Not expensive,I mix them with other species in smaller aviaries and the other species will still breed freely. Very brilliant in feather colour and very active.
Well worth taking the next step.
