Hi Flap, mine hadn't sold by the time I left!!! Apparently not a good time to be selling gouldians and there were soooo many painteds. Hope they go by tomorrow! Good to see all the boys there.

Had to use extreme will power. were a few good birds available early . spanna got a few , I got myself another good looking red face male , has a fair bit of red in the back of the head as well which I have never seen before and a very nice male crimson/ blood , all I need is a female .
But I will be just happy watching him for a while always wanted some and will make a good study piece for a while , good to see redwing working hard , spanna spending up , fincher and his carer( sorry fincher had to do it)..missed out on bushranger....oh well maybe next time or my place in the near future for a sacrificial sausage or two.....pete

yeah I was there at doors open. got 2 pair of red cheeked cordons and a pair of pictorellas! was pretty chuffed, now just to make myself obey my quarantine!! got one pair of the cordons to keep on behalf of my other half, theory being that she'll get hooked and won't object to more aviaries than house space in future...
laying the foundations early!!! so far it's working like a charm too, she was like an excitable little kid when we got them home
the finches i got look in really good condition, as did poittas and most other. was pretty impressed with most birds there actually, only saw a few quarrions that looked a bit under the weather, everything else looked good. display section will be worth having a look at for those that were thinking of going but hadn't. a few nice birds (and some other things) in there. could be some cheap birds on the last day? don't know...

Sounds like you guys did well. Poitta, can you post a pic of the RH? spanna, one day we might look at getting RC CB from you and bushranger as we do think they look pretty. But not for a while, going to focus on what we have for the next year or so and rationalise our collection. Bursting at the seams with prolific RH plus a few other clutches thrown in (got 5 YH chicks about 1 week old + OBs and Painteds sitting), so no room for any birds at the moment.
Also want to focus on Cinnamon quails. though we have named our quails which will make it hard to move them on.
Spanna, great that your other half into birds too, will make your life easier!

no pictures of the show no, will post pics of my birds when they're in the aviary in a few weeks
i do like the pictas yeah jay, i'd been thinking about them for a while, saw a young unrelated pair and snaffled them up for a pretty good price. cordons are lovely, forgot how great they are. stupid quarantine, want them in the aviaries already!!
