The $120 yellow rump isn't worth 2 cents if it is old and infertile to a breeder however a collector might think they are priceless .

One mans trash is another mans treasure ( not saying the birds were trash ) .

I think he did well to find a home for old birds and got a few Zebs ...bonus .

Nathan I am going back long before you were even born. Don’t remember what they were selling for at the time... Can find Yellow rumps for $70-80 pair these days.

Often old birds get sold to a shop waiting for the unsuspecting buyer. I know a guy who gives his old birds away privately as non breeders which is the right thing to do. I have done the same with old lovebirds
