Going, going.......gone

My worst incident. Bought a bag of ******* Supermarket brand seed on my way home from work to tide the birds over. Seed suplier closed, had knocked off late. Next morning 2 dead birds one avairy, 4 in another, none in the 3rd. Next day 2, 3, 7. Got that seed out of there fast and no more deaths. Had done the same in the past with no problems. Can only suppose the bad of seed had been next to a bag of someting poisoness. Sincere condolences. It's hard but take a break and start again. The little darlings are worth it.

Well I am certain that it isn't the seed the surviving birds are still eating it and they look fine and singing away. I also swung past the Boys at Camsals and asked them if they had any customs coming in and reporting heavy losses this year and they hadn't, they too reckon it could of been a four leg animal of some sort, anyway I think this one is going to bug me for a why'll.......it would be alot easier to take if only I knew what killed them , thats probably what is making me a little apprehensive to going back to it..........

Pay a visit to the local council and ask for the loan of a catch cage or two, they do loan them out as my daughter used one to try and catch a cat that was beating up her cat.
Or you could rig up a wooden box propped up attached to some meat.
At the very least you might get to know what is visiting your place.

PS, all my daughter caught was her own cat!
