Bunning's_Supply Chain problems- Give me your thoughts!

On my part of the Gold Coast we have 3 Bunnings stores - Nerang, Ashmore and Harbour Town with a 4th being built at Oxenford. I live at Pacific Pines so all are within 10 minutes. The Nerang store has just had a "Woolworths" Masters store open almost next door. They are near the Pet Barn. The Bunnings staff at Ashmore tell me that Nerang Bunnings is having a hard time.

I have never had a problem shopping at Bunnings (or Mitre 10 Mega). I do have a problem when I go into a hardware store and they expect me to know what I want, like in the days the grocer stood had his counter with his pencil poised to write down your order. In some of the small hardware stores, if I start browsing I am treated with suspicion. The hovering ownweer/staff makes me feel incomfortable.

At Bunnings or Mitre 10 Mega, I might go in to get a small drill bit but come away with other useful items i might see. At the small hardware store I come away with the drill bit and a thought I love the freedom of the big stores

By the way, I hav enot been to Masters but my daughter and her husband after visiting for the first time said "It's fantastic! Goodbye Bunnings!" They are renovating so have been at Bunnings at least once a week probably more.
