I don't find the actual facebook section of facebook very useful or interesting, but I think the concept of having a website where I can immediately contact many people (104 online now, 9 of whom I regularly talk to) very useful. It is also quite a good forum for bringing people of similar interests together, but mostly I use it for chat...

I dont get friend requests from strangers at all , you can tweak your settings to avoid all that crap.
And it is what you make of it , as a person with a hearing problem it suits me to catch up with those not trained to YELL through the phone via Facebook . :thumbup:

As my computor expert/IT geek son who says Facebook is not as secure as forums is on Facebook he is not condeming it just being objective about the differences. But I have not been bothered. Both my kids find it very useful for keeping in contact with friends and relos all over the world and ignore those "friend" requests from people who didnot like you in high school or are "met once at a party" types. Them I don;t get? :wtf:
