HI All,
Only a couple of esky's left, so at this stage only those who have already booked are gauranteed their green seed. If there is enough interest I will start a second pallet, but I will keep everyone posted on the level of interest to see if this 2nd pallet goes ahead.
I have had a few people from NSW contact me. The good news is John Butler from Cessnock organises a batch each year. It is delivered into Sydney and distributed there. His contact number is 02 4938 3552. So if you are from NSW and want some green seed John is happy to take your call.
Apparently no group from SA has formed enough interest to get their own delivered, so sorry I cannot help those from SA out in the same way.
Thanks everyone for their orders, I will post updates later in the year letting you know expected delivery time.
Cheers
Paul

sounds good paul!!
good to hear we will be able to fill a pallet load this yr, does that mean the green seed will be slightly cheaper? or because theirs more seed freight cost increases?
cheers

Hi Jarrod,
I am waiting on the Lowe's and the freighting company to confirm prices, but I'm not expecting any changes from last time
Cheers

Most freight companies will charge by the pallet load misso. A pallet may have 100 kgs on it or a little over a ton.The same price would be applicable.

Hi All,
The first pallet is now fully allocated. I will start taking orders for the 2nd pallet, and if there is enough interest to keep the cost down I will make sure this pallet goes ahead as well.
Cheers

Hi Jarrod/Derek,
You are correct...the pallet charge is fixed irrespective of how much is on it. The costs last time was $19.50/container and covered the cost of the seeds (and containers), esky's, interstate freight in refrigerated truck, storage over night in Melbourne and delivery to my place.
At this stage I have started taking orders for a 2nd pallet, but it will need to be just about fully allocated otherwise the freight costs will be spread over too few containers, hence resulting in the cost per container being too high for those included in the 2nd pallet. So if you are keen to get some seed please let me know ASAP.
Hope that clears things up for you.
Cheers
Paul

Hi All,
It looks like we will have enough orders to make the 2nd pallet worth while. So if anyone is still wanting any Green see please PM me so I can confirm your order.
Cheers
Paul

Hello Paul,
It great you are arranging for the green french millet seed to come from Lowe.
I believe Lowe also grow and harvests pannicum in milk seed but is any chance of start a order for green pannicum to get early next year
If you had enough starts.
Cheers

Hi Cooper,
They have done pannicum in the past. When I put the notice on the forum in June/July there wasn't much interest so we didn't arrange a shipment. Also when I spoke to Wendy recently she was unsure if they would do pannicum in the future as it takes 6-8 weeks longer than the WFM to be ready for harvesting. As they have had so many problems with weatehr conditions this year they didn't want to risk the additional time with the pannicum.
So the long answer to your question is that we won't be ordering any pannicum.....sorry for the bad news.
Cheers
Paul
