Now that I have a little time, not much the tennis is on! The picture of some of the offspring of the YHWCYB cock x YHPCGB hen[with white feathers under chin], shows YB cocks with both PC & WC . YB PC hen and as Finchbreeder has said Mum [as above]. Other chicks are YHWCYB hen [ 2 tiny spots of pale green on back of head], YHPCYB hen 2 YHPCGB[pastel green single factor] cocks. Will be interesting to see what the coming breeding season turns up. Have more chin spot hens and a RHPCGB {pastel green single factor] cock that I bought at the Finch Auction.

Did you buy your single factor cock at the december auction? We ended up with two single factor RH PC cocks from the auction
One we're paired with a lovely PC YB hen from mackstaa

Yes Venetta. The first one that was put up. He is busy checking out the nest boxes.Cleaned out and replaced boxes last week with fresh dried grass inside. Mumma white breast,RHWCGB and her mate OHPCGB have made their choice. this pair think their mission in life is to repopulate Australia with Gouldians. Other cock interested in second top nest is a young RHWCGB with a distinct gold band under his WC who is being followed around by the RHPCGB hen that I put in the avairy in the hope they would click. At the time only mated pairs already there. Have now added the hens from"What are we thread"And the most suitable mates. Cocks from "What are we" are in another avairy still waiting for nests.

Now the "what are we" cocks avairy has nests too. And oops, that YHPBYB that mum was sure was a cock has just tail wagged in response to the YHPBGB single factor brother who did the full mating dance. (wow has that YB got a bright purple chest) See the bird on the top right of the pic earlier in this thread.

Wondering, whay are the AY, so hard to get, never acutaully seen, a live one, just photos! Seems, I have only been able to get the AY split.
Have the AY been breed to only be a split?
