I agree with MadOzzie
In general people don't ask questions and they SHOULD.
The other thing that amazes me is the very high percentage of buyers who want fully coloured birds.
Is it because they want the birds to be on eggs within the month, most likely I guess.
Recently I was at a sale and had 4 pairs of birds of the same specie two birds were full colour and 6 were probably a
little more than three quarters coloured(quite sexable). All the interest was for the full coloured birds, when I asked the question
"Could they tell the approx age of the birds?" ,the 6 semi coloured were easy. When I said that the coloured birds could be 7 years old
and worn out(they weren't) they then realised what I was getting to.Still the coloured ones went before the last pair of good young birds.
Blue Faced Parrot Finches are a prime example, unless you know and totally trust the seller you are courting disaster buying fully coloured birds.
At 3 years they are virtually finished as breeders yet they are looking their absolute best. Guess which ones the majority would buy first.
Its the old saying "buyer beware" but it should be "think and ask before you buy"

Agree with E Orix,at the sale a guy was sellingweavers and had plenty of them, all young birds, did not sell any as every body thought that they looked like sparrows, just goes to show ,no color no sale, garyh.
