Good vid Spanna and i miss that too, just dont miss the high speed flight into a Redbrow nest.

So far the only high speed flights I've had were on the days I've tried to establish the pairs. Now they have settled and are much happier, both as pairs and around me. The cocks are sooooo much shier than the hens though! I have no doubt that when I have lesser redbrows in my aviaries, I'll have plenty of other aviaries to put the quails in!

When i spent a lot of time with them they were good as gold, tame as,slacken off for a week or two and it was like i was an alien invader ? Just my exprience and the birds i had.Others may be different.

I use to clip there wings to slow them down a little if the rocket launches are a problem.

Every bird is different, but I do think that would be the case with most birds DB. Lukec, I did consider clipping their wings, but thought I would give them a shot first, as I don't personally like the business, though understand it is warranted at times! I'm fortunate enough to spend a fair amount of time in my aviaries most days, and make a point of standing in the aviary and throwing them a few mealworms or maggots every morning

Pleased with how they have settled, and was perplexed by the young hens "courtship" look forward to breeding some next spring, hopefully with few heartaches!
