:wtf:

Ha ha..what a stirer you are Sam!

I have absolute reservations about this idea, but Everyone deserves the right to their opinion and belief. I bought a pair of bengalese from a friend for the first time in May and he used his wedding ring in this same manner. I held my tounge and happily walked away with some nice birds.

Also during my Wife's baby shower with the same method my child was decided to be a Girl, However the magic force must have been misinterpreted on this day because I now have a lovely Son Blake. All good fun.

On a similar note to Sam's, in the past I have seen some good examples of Chick Magnets working that displayed quite good results. Quite a valuable thing if you are fortunate in this way.

Cheers.

I'd be careful about buying second hand sexing magnets . .

You would pobably only get the ones that are faulty

Now now Arthur, that's not the kind of advice Greg asked for ;-)

I don't think it needs to be a magnet. I have seen a nut on a piece of cotton used. I won't comment on the accuracy.

Good luck.

Cheers Ian

That's a bit hard.
I have seen some very experienced aviculturalists get some excellent results with similar techniques.
However, my view is that it is the expertise of the person holding the string and not the magnet that is being measured.

Try a sewing needle on cotton, many years ago my Auntie said the older women in the street where she live used to do that on pregnant women with great success.
