Mineral prices have shot the a end of mining in NSW too ....Cobar has been touch and go for months with big closes and reshuffling of works.
Yet Mudgee is opening whats to be the biggest underground in southern hemisphere , looks like my lot are going to Mudgee.

I'm a Research interviewer, and there's plenty of work in this industry if you are any good at talking to anyone and everyone Mick.
It also helps if you like to/can walk for kms knocking on strangers doors.
So everyone be nice to the lady who knocks on your door, it just might be me.

Sorry for all your misfortunes......I'm sure you'll all get work, get better or, if its what you want, get sacked/retire soon
Mine is the best job in the World......sometimes......Forester......I plan and supervise logging for Forests NSW (the old Forestry Commission)........spend a heap of time in the bush, do heaps of wildlife survey work, fire-fighting etc.....
......Also free termites and Tea Tree ;)
