No NSWchainsaw,
They are the wrong type of macaw the ones we saw were scarlet and green wing.
No it was not in the zoo for the last time it was in the wild we just saw them on the side of the road. And yes they did land on us .It wasn't at Sydney it was 4 ours away.

Thanks Nathan

NSWchainsaw,
The ones I saw were different and they were a wild population no one owned them. And it wasn’t on the central coast.
Thanks Nathan

Okay Nathan, you've got me - I'm intrigued. Location, location, location? About 4 hours from Sydney is a touch too vague...

what an idiot!!!

neither macaws or eclectus parrots are native to the area (wherever precisely that may be!!!). and released exotic parrots have established themselves in many, many parts of the world - and that includes macaws. for all of you who constantly moan about the governments draconian laws regarding aviculture - well there's your proof right there why, no matter how responsible some may be - it only takes one idiot to go and cause a disaster.

if nathan ever works out where exactly he was - i have good mind to go and bloody catch them all myself.
