Yea...sam i hear you ive had a few of those kinda people you mention. And also in my line of work!!! Alot of people just dont realise that if they were just well mannered and nice and stopped asking for discounts and freebies that you would realy look after them!

Anyways i couldnt agree more with these comments.

Sam and Ben. It's a case of "The noisy wheel getting the oil." Some people are just like that. I have learned that if they are the type to haggle about an already good price, they will also be the first to complain about imaginary or real problems when they get home with the birds. I set my price, stick to it regardless, and if they leave without anything, then I consider that a win situation as do I really want their business and the ensuing dramas, anyway?

I do the same with my business - some clients are just not worth the effort.
In terms of birds, I've sold a fair few handraised eccies over the years. I recall one haggling buyer who was on the phone every few days about some new disease they were sure the young eccie had. They'd been on some internet site and to them the little bloke had all the symptoms of pretty much all the diseases they researched. I offered to pay for an avian vet to check him out, but eventually I took him back and refunded the money. He seemed 100% fine to me, but to be sure I took him for a checkup to David Phalen (local Avian Vet), he couldn't find anything wrong and found him to be in excellent health.
