Wendy has advised that the crop (3 weeks old) is looking good and they are happy with it's progress....they are hoping for more rain later this week.
So at this stage still on schedule for an April delivery.
At this stage I have orders for 1 1/2 pallets....so if you are still thinking of ordering some milk seed please PM me as I feel we will only be ordering a maximum of 2 pallets this year, and once they are full no more orders can be taken.
Cheers
Paul

************* UPDATE ****************
Wendy has informed me that unless they get some rain within the next week the crop will be lost. I will post an update early next week.
I hope those of you who placed an order have enough frozen seed to get through the next 2-3 months. I am sure if the current crop fails the Lowe's will try another crop shortly.
Not looking good....but all is not lost yet.
I will wait to see the outcome of this crop before asking people to let me know if they are still interested in the next crop and/or want to increase/decrease their order.....As there are about 60 people involved in this process it would be appreciated if you could keep an eye on my updates rather than 60+ PM's coming through......if you are not involved in this process, enjoy the updates and keep your fingers crossed for us
Cheers

You are right Gary....many more people are feeling hard times due to the lack of rain....our issue is a drop in the ocean. Let's hope those areas across the country get the rain they have been desperate for so many years.

Hi All,
Sent off an email to Wendy yesterday requesting an update....to be honest i was expecting bad news.....to my surprise the crop is still progressing (slowly). They are expecting 25-30 mm of rain in the coming days so hopefully it will enable to crop to survive.
I noticed the posting from Wildbill regarding the price of green seed in Sydney ($35/container)....good luck to the seller if people are prepared to pay that price....but to be fair to the seller this seed would be from last season, and he has stored it for 12 months so I don't blame him for putting a premium on the price....my point is if you are buying green seed then consider buying enough for 2 seasons....that way in the event of no seed being grown you have a back up. Believe it or not last week i actually had a guy ring me up wanting to place an order....only to get upset when I told him we will probably not get any this season...you should have heard him carry on.....so in the end I got sick of listening to his crap and told him that he should visit the Lowes and do a rain dance for them....that way everyone will be happy.....I also reminded him that I last year I encouraged him to buy enough for 2 seasons.....he eventually calmed down and agreed to buy sufficient seed if we get any this year.
Cheers
