the australian zoo association made moves around the early to mid 2000's to import a range of softbill species into the country, taking advantage of many previously held but now extinct or functionally extinct zoo species still being on the eligible import list.

unfortunately nothing has yet come of it, but i distinctly remember white-rumped shama being on that list. (as well as some species that would make us all drool!!)
