It was just a general question and no criticism was meant. As a bird sale "virgin" it is something I wont forget  Just thought it a bit strange as my local produce store wont sell birds that require licence unless you produce. Anyhow had a great time, congrats to you and those that put it together.
No problem Matcho,
I was just explaining our stance.

I forgot to mention as part of the NSW Bird Sale Code of Practice a sign is displayed on entry that NSWNPWS regulations should be followed which is also displayed on the website with a link direct to the relevant page on the NSW gov. website.

So it is something we take seriously - but we aren't responsible for every seller and every sale - and if NSWNPWS staff asked for access they would be given it.

Gee I stood around selling my birds for four and a half hours and had no forum members come up and say G’day . I was wearing a forum cap and all . Every one a bit shy ?I did catch up with E orix and another fellow from south Australia wearing a forum cap but he was not registered just sits on the side line reading posts. Any how did take some pix of the venue . It was quite impressive plenty of room to walk no pushing or shoving. Being able to stand behind your birds while selling was handy . Had a good day, had taken 56 birds to sell and only taken 6 home.

Harvey I saw your Javas and thought how good they looked, I am sorry that I didn't meet you.
As for the sale, how on earth would any sane person attend, but they did,the rain and more rain should have kept all at home.
The sale was run just as well if not better than their previous ones. The new hall without doubt is by far the best venue of all the sales
Plenty of room large walk ways etc.Even with the hassles of getting there and bigger ones getting home, the trip was worth it.
It was 453Kms from my place to Orange and it was 805kms from Orange to my home thanks to roads being flooded. We had to drive to Sydney
then all the way down to the border.
As an actual sale it was good but it would have been far better, had the weather not kept the obvious big number of buyers and sellers away.
Well we have already booked our motel rooms for the 2013 sale on the 2nd March and as was told to us if you intend to go next year and stay the Friday night book your room NOW as there is a massive Aths Canival on that same weekend.
Once again Tony, Ray and others well done.

The DVD is going really well - again - unfortunately both Tony and I are pretty busy doing non bird things at the moment - we really are trying to fot some time in to do DVD number 2.

Hope to see you at next years sale.
