they may read some of them...not sure Diane....we were told we were to scan the papers to make sure they were filled in and the address was correct.....not read the details for obvious reasons ...my guess is a computer reads them...but it would be good to start a new trend

As a research interviewer who has never worked for the census.
Always too busy.
I would expect the forms would be read by computor recognition as our forms are.
It can process the data more quickly so they can get on with putting it to use, in planning where new schools, hospitals & police stations need to be built.
Unfortunately also where they are going to sell off or knock down the same.
