Yes,very good post emmo. Please don't run this person down as we are/will be dragged down to her level. Please remember that this is a public forum and anyone can read it through google as we know now her FB site shows a link to our site with my avatar.emmo wrote:No matter how flawed her arguments, how full of inconsistencies, how kooky she seems, we are not going to change Paris Yves. It is the law as it stands now that is our problem, and correcting that is what needs to be the focus of our attention. It is the law makers that need to be convinced that the bird sales we are accustomed to are something to be preserved and therefore urge them to take action to remedy the situation. We must show the politicians that our treatment of birds is not what Paris portrays. Attacking the person, although an understandable gut reaction, doesn't help our cause - it actually drags us closer to her level. Instead, we must demonstrate that the outcome she desires, initially banning bird sales, but ultimately banning the breeding and selling of all birds in Australia (one arm of her conflicting logic), is not in the best interest of birds, nor the majority of people in Australia.
Yes, Arthur, we are up to it.
If you haven't already signed the petition,DO IT NOW and get your fellow breeders/mates to sign it as well, don't think the Aussie way of "She be right mate" there's plenty of others out there that can do all that stuff. The more that bird breeders/keepers sign the petition the more our voice will be heard.
