What happened at last weekends sale.

In my opinion, the bird sale in Mildura was a fairly sad affair. Usually a small event, it seemed smaller because I believe some sellers pulled out, and the racial segregation left not much pickings on the sales benches, and not much viewing in the display section. I was finished with the sale in about 20 minutes, then it was too long to wait another hour and 40 minutes before any contact with owners of the display birds. I had 100km to travel and I wanted to get home with the 3 Painted Finches I bought, thus was unable to realistically explore the possibility of relieving a Broken Hill exhibitor of some of his Orange-breasted Waxbills.

Most, if not all these groups of people add nothing to the economy. Rather damage it, costing hundreds of people jobs. And billions in damage to property and livestock. They exist only to make a radical statement. And self promotion. Maybe it's time for laws to be made to insure animal loving people, and their animals are protected. This does NOT mean humanizing animals. Rather to protect those that practice responsible animal use.

That woman may have had found loop hole in the law. But those loop holes were not the intent of the law.
That woman or someone on her behalf of her is inserting a cockatiel in a dirty cage beside very reputive breeders, whom are using custom built cages that minimise stress to the birds. This misrepresentation has to be stopped. And the issue is clear. Paris is in violation of

because I have spent almost 20 years working professionally in photoshop and I see no glaring evidence that the image you posted was digitally manipulated.

the deleted, by me, per request photo was not the photoshopped pic. Rather to show photograph being taken under guise.
Or said individual's personal pet.

After closer examination, she or someone on her behalf has inserted similar photograph next to professionals birds at show.



The photograph was taken in response to a gumtree advertisement not any bird show! I firmly believe said cockatiel belongs to the aforementioned.

Does anyone know how well her petition to ban sales is going?
