Are the for types of Australian ringnecks seperate species

Are the 4 different types of Australian ringnecks Mallee ringneck , Cluncurry parrot , port lincoln parrot and twenty eight parrot considerd seperate species?. And I was reading an artical and the arther sed that they are a type of rosella and he put them in the rosella genus are they in the rosella genus? I thought they were in the Barnardius genus.

No, they are the four subspecies of the Australian Ringneck.

How come then is it that in the NSW licencing system two species are licenced birds the Mallee ringneck and the Cluncurry parrot and two are not the port lincoln parrot and the twent eight parrot. how does that make sence if they are the same species?.

Look at their distribution map, have a think about which ones are from NSW and see if you can figure it out for yourself

But there the same species thats like saying white rump double barred finches are licenced but black rumped double barred finches are not.
