After 62 years in Aviculture, Breeding Finches, Canaries & a few Neophemas We are downsizing and moving to a Retirement village.
It was sad parting with all my birds but I will have two canaries to remind me of a life time's enjoyment & pleasure with our feathered friends.

Good wishes for your retirement. Very sad to have to part with most of your birds. Hope you will still join us here to get your "fix". :D

I've seen some of these retirement villages and most have room enough for a small aviary. Sometimes they actively encourage the building of an aviary in one of the communal areas for all the residents to enjoy. Maybe you could be the "curator". I'd look into it! You might be surprised at the response as they are all about quality of lifestyle nowadays.

Great idea of Tintola's also hope you made sure you've got a male and female canary Reg, sure there'd be some takers for any young you had!
