Green seed heads

Got some seed heads today,i think they are Millet heads ???? and a mix of seeds heads??????,i have been feeding my Goulds and Canaries them.

I think the big one is Setaria italica (commonly called red or white millet) but I will have to reserve my judgement on the finer one.

The "fluffy" seed heads in the first pic are red and/or white millet, and there also appears to be some rye grass in there too (close to the highest millet spray). The seed head dominating the second pic is Jap millet, and there appears to be some sort of panic grass in that pic too. Your birds will love them all Harv, good work!

Thanks Spanna..
I have been getting it from my a friend who has birds to and he has it growing wild everywhere.He said to to take as much as i like.
I am going to try and grow some millet in the garden..
I always give it a quick wash with water.
And yes the birds love it.

Could you possibly get pics of the plants you pic from Harvey? Just want to see if the plant you get your seed heads from look anything like the ones Im trying to grow in the garden.
