Hi Deb
Found these for you:
Pt 1 http://www.parrotsociety.org.au/articles/art_003.htm
Pt 2 http://www.parrotsociety.org.au/articles/art_004.htm
From memory Daryl is/was a Parks Officer in Armidale NSW area.
It might be worth you looking at joining the Parrot Society of Aus if you want to keep this kind of bird. I've had nothing to do with them since the mid 90s when work circumstances found me birdless (I mainly had parrots from 70s to 90s and no birds for close on 10 years before slowly getting back in to finches early this century).

Good references Natamambo!
That 2part article is one of the best written on keeping & breeding golden-shouldered parrots IMO. I photocopied and kept it when it first appeared and still have it filed away- old habits die hard!
Another thing to be aware of is that some unscrupulous people are hybridizing GS with hoodeds to get the hooded mutations into the GS- what a disaster!!
And just to add to the mix, some of the pied hoodeds I saw recently were calling and behaving very much like red rumps and were "chunkier" in build than most normal hoodeds. Maybe they're just "well fed" !!!!

Thanks Myzo I have already been warned that I need to source them from a reputable breeder for the reasons you gave and plus the mutations are more popular then the normals so splits may be a problem .
Im in no hurry I still need to sell more birds to cover costs and I cant afford the aviary space so what I want is pure normals that have bonded and are in good health ,,,wish me luck .
I found my old grass parrot book and it had the plans for the insulated nest box also found a parrots of australia book so I know what a wild bird would look like and Ill try to get as close as possible to that .
So Ive been wondering this ... I have a 2.4 x 1.2 x 1.2 suspended that I would like to use for them and given that they like to dig ...if I do a couple of kitty litter trays with grasses and organic soil will this be enough of a substitute ?

Young T . Fella did tell me but I cant remember , they are the past seasons birds and thats all I can recall ( brain has been on overdrive as you know )
How old do they look ?
They havent coloured up yet I know . He is feeding her so I guess its safe to say they will /have bond .
