Hi - I am a new member.
Hope someone can advise me.
My gouldians are wanting to breed now.
As they are going into their boxes.
Is it recommended to let them breed now during Summer in temps of 39 plus at times.
Or should I remove their boxes and wait until the end of Summer.
Dizzy

G'day Dizzy mate depends on your climate remember they come from up North. If their ready to go let them, the bulk of them are horrible mothers and dont sit on the young after a short period. Why don't you go to Introduce yourself and post G'day

About now is normal. Try to keep them a bit cooler (shadecloth, sprinklers etc) if you can so the bubbas don't cook in the box. In the wild they use well insulated trees out in the open, not boxes under tin rooves.
