Here are a couple of pics for those wanting to see the blue dilute

Interesting. Is it coincidence that they are both male? Or is it posible this is a sex linked mutation?

Very interesting. I'm not too sure which mutations (apart from Blue) are involved here. Are your birds the same as the pastel described at this link?
And Julien, did you get these two plus another blue all in the same clutch from a pair of split blues? You'd better go get some lottery tickets!

Wow! They are beautiful.
I have just started with Blues and silvers but would love to get some dilutes later.
Just waiting for the more experienced to create some stronger blood lines.
Can't wait to see what young you can produce from them.
Good Luck.

See Ya!

Flavio ... are you sure you have these Blue dilute ?? or pastel blue from the yellow x blue breeding ?
both parents turned out to be split to blue, split to recessive Dilute so in one nest I got
Blue and Blue Dilute and Dilute and normals some wb some pb.

SamDavis
No as I wrote in the post there is NO yellow in the breeding , the Blue dilute is nothing to do with
the Pastel blue from yellow x blue.
In my last post you can see the parent birds.

Finchbreeder
I think you are correct... seems all Blues produced were male and all Blue Dilute produced were male .
I only got female in Dilute and normals.

Thanks, I understand now. It's confusing that a SF Euro Yellow is called a dilute. I don't know much about the recessive dilutes. What are the visual differences between a recessive dilute cock and a SF EY cock?

Yes julien i have these birds i have been breeding Aust ressesive Dilute for 25 years my
Dilute blood lines came from ray marrey the man who created the Aust ressesive dilute more than 30 years ago,
i have crossed blue back with aust dilute for the last 3 to 4 years and i have tried different combinations ,
i have these birds but after the moult they drop dead they are both ressesive and i think thats the problem
but i still have a few tricks up my sleeve.
